Digital options with Photos By Madman: Standard Border/Matts  

These backgrounds are available for use anywhere "Choose Background" is offered to you. For example, portrait pictures taken with blue/green screens. The code in Red is all you have to specify when ordering. If you are having hand retouching done, the background will often be tweaked and adjusted to more perfectly fit the image.

These borders/matts are used to create a larger image than you started with. The border is put AROUND the image. If you were going to order a 4x5 print "with the mat", you would now order a 8x10 image once the border/mat is applied. The inside image will be approx. 4x5. (If you order a 4x5, the image itself will be reduced to about 2x2.5 but the print including the border/mat will be 4x5) Displayed behind glass in a frame, these appear like a very high quality border (and they are very high quality too!)

Black Mat For your picture, the color of the mat AND the color of the step-up color (green in this example) can be selected. Normally the step-up color will be taken from one of the colors in the picture, perhaps an accent color. In some however, you may prefer a complimentary color instead.	After Standard retouching, followed by external mat (white with red core)	after Standard retouching, followed by internal stepup border then external mat (white with red core)	after Heavy retouching, followed by external mat (dark maroon with pink core)
