Selected primary Judge for NYN
Photography contest (2004): I recognition of his eye for
the people in the pictures - the art of love, Peter was selected as the primary
Judge for the NYN Photography contest in (2004). Look back in a few months for
a link for winners verification.
Nominated "RingMaster" for
Wedding Photography Artists (2004) (Update: Peter won and has now
been appointed):
Peter was initially invited in 2003 to join an Internationally
selected group of Wedding Photographers that go beyond "just" shooting a
wedding, doing so in a method that recognizes them as "Artists". Peter has
always strived to do much more than just "take" wedding and family pictures,
striving to bring out the love the couple and family has for each other -
striving to show artistically that which may at times be hidden. Now,
for 2004, Peter was appointed to take on the role of RingMaster.
Note: If you know of any wedding photographers that you believe also rise above
the norm and provide an artistic flaire, please nominate them by sending Peter

put into the process whereby they will be judged as candidates for this ring -

As part of the judging, the www.PhotosByMadman.com
website was found to be the most useful for customers and potential
customers.
This of course brings us great pleasure because the goals of our web site are
to bring you enjoyment (through the pictures) education (through the free tips
and many commentary items) as well as a full understanding of what Photos By
Madman brings in terms of service and products to you, our customers. To quote
the presenter of the award "There are so many sites where the goal seems to be
to look fantastic but have no content. They are so flashy or gaudy and run so
slow on a telephone line - but your site is loaded with quick and easy content
for your customers..."
My thanks to the many customers who have given comment on what they wanted to
see from my company and on this web site. Please feel free to ask for more! My
thanks to the many customers who gave permission to have photos of themselves
displayed on the web site and in advertising materials. My thanks to customers,
without which, it would be impossible for Photos By Madman to exist. Thank you

This award can only be won once by any given company.

Top 100 in Canada (1995): Branham Group: The software
company I owned was selected by the Branham Group as one of the top 100 in
Canada. I sold it later that year, and it was sold subsequently to a Florida
company as I am told. One employee in 2001, and second hand information in
2003 informed me that more than 75% of users were still using the version
that I had managed production of until the company sold in 1995. The users
preferred that "old" version to upgrading he informed me. I think I am much
more pleased with that then I am with the "top 100" achievement.
FBDB Young Entrepreneur Award (1990): Federal Business Development
Bank's 1990 Young Entrepreneur Award for Alberta. Awarded annually to the top
Entrepreneur under the age of 30. Yes I really was under 30 back then. I
was phoned during the judging for 1991 and told that I would have won again
except, after realizing this, the judges decided to change the rules and
not permit people to win this award more than once to spread it around to other
people. I agreed that was an acceptable change in the rules.
